Tucked into the heart of downtown Pagosa Springs Healing Waters is a cozy, welcoming local favorite, offering a peaceful place to gather and soak. Purchased in 1950 by the Giordanos, the resort continues to be owned and operated by what is now the third generation of the family. Hot springs soaking includes an outdoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, and separate men’s and women’s indoor bathhouses. Lodging facilities include motel-style rooms, suites, and park-model cabins – lodging guests soak for free and can access the pools beginning at 8am before it is open to the public at 11am. Relaxing massage services are also available at the onsite massage center.
The Soaking Experience
THE WATERS
The hot springs pools are filled with 100% natural mineral water – nothing added! It is believed that by maintaining the long-held tradition of filling the pools with undiluted mineral water, soakers experience 100% of the healing qualities associated with those minerals. Some of the minerals include sulfur and sulfates, chlorides, magnesium, and sodium. Water temperatures range from approximately 90º to 112º depending on the season, ambient conditions, air temp, and weather. The indoor bathhouses are adult-only spaces. Men and women enter separate areas and soak in separate pools.

THE CULTURE
Healing Waters is a place to gather and soak. A place to meet up with old friends and enjoy making new ones. The large outdoor swimming pool is enjoyed by families, occasional lap swimmers, and a twice-a-week exercise group. At other times it is a place to float, enjoy a book, or just soak up water and sunshine. The outdoor soaking tub is tucked under the trees in a quiet corner. A great spot to meet up for quiet conversation! Both the men’s and women’s indoor hot baths are screen-free, quiet zones with benches for relaxation. All of the hot springs facilities are alcohol-free.
